Whip
A whip is a leather tool used to inflict pain upon livestock, and in some cases humans. While designed as a means of deterrent or punishment, rather an instrument of war, whips can nevertheless be used as weapons to some effect. They appear in Ultima VII and Ultima VII Part Two.
Description[edit]
Whips are typically used to goad animals or, in some cases, to administer pain to humans for the purposes of corporal punishment or torture. As such, whips are not as effective at causing injury as they are at instilling fear, and make for ineffective, albeit intimidating weapons.
Effectiveness of the Weapon[edit]
- In Ultima VII whips have an effectiveness rating of "4".
- In Ultima VII Part Two, they are listed as having a damage of "6" and a reach of "3".[1]

Lightning Whips[edit]

A magically enchanted variety of scourges, known as lightning whips, have been imbued with the capacity to discharge electrical energy when they strike, which make them far more capable instruments of war than their mundane counterparts.
Trivia[edit]
- Due to their ability to administer pain, whips feature in a variety of sadomasochistic sexual practices. It is implied that Rotoluncia and Filbercio of Moonshade may have been using a whip for such purposes, as one was found in a private lover's cottage which they shared, in conjunction with other suspect items - including a banana, diapers and assorted bindings.
