When the Avatar met her, she was prepared to drink with her new acquaintance, provided she find her glass. If complimented on her looks, she would direct the hero to Bidney, who knows about mountain climbing and the grapple.[1]

Ultima V: Lazarus[edit]

A direct and forthcoming tavern keeper, Tierra would not speak to the Avatar in Ultima V: Lazarus[2] until the hero learned from Lord Dalgrin to buy her a drink to win her over.[3] After a good drink, she was willing to talk about the men of The Den, saying she thought Bidney a good sort and frequently drank with him, and he even had stories about climbing mountains using a grapple. She lamented than Sven was a waste, for despite being so handsome he was uninterested in women, and remarked that Scally the bard was highly skilled. She had no love for Ransack, the owner of The King's Ransom.

Asked about Enlor’s apprentice Alfred, Tierra would direct the Avatar towards Bidney, saying the two had been good pals, and that Alfred had been sent off to a lighthouse somewhere.[4]

If the Avatar asked about Nikki’s bracelet at the behest of Ransack,[5][6] Tierra would tell the hero that Nikki is genuinely in love, and there would be no gold forthcoming to the innkeeper. The Avatar could later learn from Daem and Nikki that Tierra had given up her freedom in order to protect young Nikki from Ransack's advances.[7]
