Teril is a young man living in Britain in Ultima V: Lazarus.

Teril was a young and talented musician of eighteen, who practiced at the Bard's Academy in Britain. The son of Silvy the seamstress and the brother of young Shivan, he was proud of his teachers Salan and Greyson, feeling both were excellent and worthy masters. Teril told the Avatar that Salan was like a father to him, his real father having died at a young age.[1]

Teril felt that Salan was a competent teacher, but that there was little more to learn from him. He feared that Salan was withholding knowledge from him, and that he would soon have to strike out on his own to improve his skills. If the Avatar met Teril after class at his home, Teril could be found working on a book of his own compositions, and Teril admitted that Salan had refused to teach him the song "Stones," by Iolo and Gwenno. When Salan was pressed on this fact, the teacher admitted that Lord Petyr had forbidden him from teaching that song to anyone.[2]

Trivia[edit]

  • Teril is the namesake of Ultima V: Lazarus composer and artist James "Terilem" Dangerfield.
