Tamethe is the cook at The Haunting Inn in Skara Brae in Ultima V: Lazarus.

A kindly lady, Tamethe told the hero that she tended to the cooking at The Haunting Inn, while the owner Rogi took care of the inn. She admitted business had been poor recently because few people visited Skara Brae since the archmage Flain took up residence on the island in his dark tower.[1]

Tamethe was willing to talk extensively about the other inhabitants of the island, speaking highly of the rangers, saying that Abiona had a good heart, but held a grudge against the Oppression for the loss of her husband. She thought Hazael was a handsome man who had much to learn, and Heron was an accomplished captain, but had to be careful due to his continued association with the rebels of Spiritwood. Of the local townspeople, she felt that Ley was defensive of his position, and Anwen had been depressed by the recent loss of her sons. She further commented that Toama was much disliked due to her failed attempt to profit from the Oppression, Valos' wine was excellent, and Temptious was constantly stressed, worried that Kindor would die in his absence.

The cook mentioned that someone had recently been pilfering small amounts of food from the tavern stores, and the Avatar could later learn that the young child Froed, who had been forced to flee Trinsic, had been hiding on the island.[2] If Tamethe was told the identity of the thief, she would remember Greymarch's son from before they left the island, and offered to feed Froed whenever he was hungry.
