Seggallion/Lord Seggallion[edit]

There is some dispute as to whether Lord Seggallion in U5 and Seggallion in U6 are in fact the same person. Lord Seggallion is a former pirate in U5 and in U6, Seggallion is an honourable Knight of Ashtalarea and does not appear to recognise the Avatar from any previous meeting. He is instead rather preoccupied with his homeworld. The way he recounts his tale of arriving in Britannia implies that it is a relatively recent occurrence.

Other than the name, the two characters are completely different. Perhaps I'm being unreasonable, but in my mind this article makes too many assumptions about merging the two origins.

If what you are saying is true, and you haven't missed any other connections between the two manifestations of Seggallions, then you aren't being unreasonable. I'm afraid a lot of articles in the Codex indulge in too many assumptions--more than I have stamina to keep up w/. AngusM 02:46, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
He's saying the truth and didn't skip anything. I think Lord Seggallion should be split into a separate article, as there's no way he and Seggallion are the same person. - 186.108.251.144 04:34, 8 June 2012 (PDT)
This issue was more or less resolved. Back when I posted that, the article unambiguously considered the U5 and U6 Seggallions to be the same person. Each character is now described as a separate entity. --Terilem 02:40, 9 June 2012 (PDT)

Paulette: Seggallion's daughter?[edit]

The Paulette-Seggallion connection seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Yes, her father came from another world, but Britannia had many otherworldly visitors over the years. It could just as easily have been Gorn, for all we know.

I don't see the supposed physical resemblance between the two either, apart from their black hair. It all seems rather like one fan's wishful thinking.

Change of direction[edit]

Considering all the confusion, it seems this NPC article should be changed to encompass a range of characters who are likely unconnected, except that Seggallion is a character inserted from another PC game. He's also in Martian Dreams, too; obviously intended to resemble the same character, but clearly not the same person.

And yes, the daughter connection in U7 really seems like a stretch. --Polygoncount 06:54, May 4, 2010 (UTC)
