"Other great sources of heat"

I don't recall U4 having great sources of heat other than volcanoes, that would be a likely habitat for beasts. Can anyone confirm what this is? I believe the lore quote in the article is the only text there is about the creature, so anything else about them would have to come from gameplay. AngusM 01:35, June 28, 2010 (UTC)

The lorequote reads they "dwell in infernos," and lava is not, by definition, the only source of an inferno. The only other in-game source of fire in U4 was fire Energy fields, which were used liberally to represent things like the furnace in Minoc, the middle of volcanoes, and the entrance to the Stygian Abyss (which meant they could actually be dispelled). For the record, I have never actually encountered a Lava Lizard IN lava; this was likely an engine limitation. Oh, the fire energy field is what's in the furnace. I imagined it as just lava (which means I just made my party suck it up, when I went to get the rune)

The text says that they're near volcanoes and sources of heat. I vaguely recall that they were found among lava, but not in it, so I don't have a problem with the "near active volcanoes" part. Can anyone confirm that they are found near fire energy fields as well? (Or some other heat source we haven't thought of) AngusM 22:24, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
