Talk:Kraken

I removed the swamp tentacle link here to be consistant. All speculation about the link between corpsers and swamp tentacles was removed, but the speculation that they may be related to kraken was left and even cleaned. I see nothing to back the idea that the are kraken relatives beyond similar art and having tentacles. In fact the supporting reference was actually based on the bestiary entry stating they are similar to corpsers. I'd be happy to have both back but I feel the kraken link is clearly the more speculative speculation.

I didn't see anything in the passage claiming kraken and swamp tentacles are actually related. As you said, the two share almost identical art and I believe the intent of the section was merely to highlight the fact that they are actually different creatures in case there was confusion, hence why I left that part in. What I removed was an explicit suggestion that corpsers and swamp tentacles might be somehow related, which I thought was fairly baseless. I think the section should be restored to the way I edited it. --Terilem 12:59, 10 January 2011 (PST)
I see. Understandable, especially considering the that 'kraken' aren't nessicarily even a single species or remotely related to each other. What put me off was how the text referring to corpsers was used to compare them to kraken (the lack of bodies found) after the mention of corpsers was removed from the paragraph. I've re-added the paragraph and edited it to put the reference back in context, hopefully with less speculation overall. No body recovered from tentacles beasts seems a very common trait. --Anarch Cassius 13:24, 10 January 2011 (PST)
