Probably John Prosper Mayer, chief of NASA mission planning, and his wife Geraldine. See [[1]] among others. I assume that the connection is Richard Garriott's astronaut father Owen Garriott. -- 89.182.216.56 14:09, 2 October 2015 (UTC)

That's a pretty great coincidence. However, John Mayer was the manager of the ComputerLand store where Richard Garriott worked (referenced here), and Gerry is presumably his brother/son/some other relation who also worked there, judging from his in-game dialogue (he's briefly mentioned in this video). --Terilem (talk) 01:26, 3 October 2015 (UTC)
