Objective critiquing by a music expert[edit]

I removed a lot of the highly subjective language in this article, and left the things I'm unsure about. I left the discussion of the instrumentation alone, and think an expert should pick up where I left off. I'm wondering if even the style of language might benefit from some correction by an expert.

Oh yeah, and something I'm very suspicous of is the Mockingboard being described as having an organ. I thought the Mockingboard only had one instrument: an eagle caught in a bear trap. AngusM 03:49, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

I was one of the musicians for Lazarus, but I'd hesitate to label myself a "music expert."
To be honest, I'm not too fussed on the idea of music articles to begin with and I'm not really sure why we need them, at least in this form. Verbal analysis of music is always going to be pretty subjective, and there's only so much you can write on a page with half a dozen dungeon themes before you run out of things to say.
It might be better just to have a separate soundtrack page for each game, perhaps with an overview of how it was approached, composers, track lists (with MIDI links), etc. --Terilem 10:44, August 28, 2010 (UTC)
Any further thoughts on this page or is it now defunct. Also it is missing an entry for U9's two dungeon themes music. - Iceblade Jan. 16, 2013
I'm just not sure what to do with this page. I kind of like Terilem's idea from back in 2010 with a brief article on each soundtrack, describing who composed it, links to files, and brief overview. Dungy 06:29, 17 January 2013 (PST)
