Should we split this between Ultima III Dawn and Ultima IX Dawn? I never got the impression that the two places had much to do with one another aside from sharing a name, although feel free to point out if there's something in U9 suggesting otherwise.--Blu3vib3 21:07, 17 October 2011 (PDT)

I don't know, I always felt unless we clearly know 2 things are different, we should consider them the same. Although there is really no argument for or against other than the name. Dungy 03:29, 18 October 2011 (PDT)
I was going to agree with Bluevibe, but you brought up an interesting viewpoint, Dungy. Still, the Dawn of U9 doesn't have anything in common with the Dawn from U3 except the name. The original Dawn was a magical city, this was a (fishing?) village. --Warder Dragon 04:44, 18 October 2011 (PDT)
I have a very different viewpoint from Dungy. I feel that unless it is clearly stated that two objects from different games are the same, we should be questioning the unity of its identity. Taken to an extreme, this would probably mean we could isolate Lord British in U2, since, I expect, it's impossible to prove that the one in U2 is the same as any other game. However, more reasonably, I have seen parallels drawn between objects of different games that we decided were inappropriate. The Ness Creatures is one such example, although it seems to be back in a different form. The Ultra-Mind 11:00, 18 October 2011 (PDT)
Yes, that's another interesting viewpoint! And given the example you used, and others such as the Silver Horn and perhaps most notably Hydrae, perhaps that is the way we should be going. --Warder Dragon 03:53, 19 October 2011 (PDT)
The Silver Horn is a little different as we saw it reappear from game to game. Dawn from Ultima IX shares no connection with the one from Ultima III. Btw, we know Lord British is from Earth, and he created the game so obviously it is meant to be the same person. - Iceblade 24 Feb. 2012
