Ultima Online describes a skill which determines, how much of the base damage of any weapon is inflicted on the opponent. This goes for all weapon classes (Swordsmanship, Fencing, Mace Fighting, Archery and Wrestling). The percentage is equal to skill plus + 50% (for example, at 120 skill points the player will deal 170% of the base damage, while a fighter with no skill will only deal 50%). A high level of tactics is also needed to do any of the special moves, with 70 for the first move and 90 for the second move.
Mages do not use this skill. They instead use Evaluate Intelligence.
The skill is trained automatically when fighting and therefore goes up together with the weapon skills.
