Smirk is the proprietor of the Inn of Ends in Jhelom during the time of Ultima IV.

Smirk was, like many innkeepers of the age, primarily concerned with the management of his business, and had little time for idle conversation. At the time of the Stranger’s adventures in Jhelom, his establishment appeared to be housing a number of travellers, including Geoffrey and Lord Robert. His housekeeper, Max, had also recently become aware of a secret doorway within the inn, which led to a number of hidden passages within Jhelom's walls – where numerous unfortunates lay imprisoned.
