Samuel guards the southwest passages of Serpent's Hold during Ultima IV.

The handsome warrior could direct the Stranger to either Garam or Durham should the hero be in search of them.[1]

NES remake
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (Japanese original), Samuel can be identified with the ranger in the same location. This character was removed in the English localization.
