Rufus the Red is a blacksmith in Britain in Ultima VI.
Description[edit]
Rufus the Red showed himself to be a rough and tumble man with a fiery personality. He seemed to be quite proud of his head of long red hair. He was responsible for the manufacturing of horseshoes in Britain, and he reminded the Avatar of the importance of regular horseshoeing.[1]
Other than that, he had little to say.
The Ultima 6 Project[edit]

In The Ultima 6 Project, Rufus complained that he had few horseshoes to sell, for Lord British had requisitioned all of the horses and ships of the land for use against the Gargoyles. He noted that Max the blacksmith had been working nonstop at his anvil supplying arms for the war effort, and complimented the man on his superior swords, shields, and armour. Rufus had heard rumors that Gargoyles had launched an assault on Castle Britannia awhile ago, but noted that the guards denied it.
