Admiral Robert E. Peary (1856-1920) was an American explorer who claimed to have been the first person, on April 6, 1909, to reach the geographic North Pole.

Description[edit]

Peary was transported to Mars in the accidental launch of Percival Lowell's space bullet at its exhibition at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Upon arrival on Mars, Peary set about exploring the martian surface, investigating the bridges and structures of the land. Peary further explored the northern regions of the planet, discovering the Polar Laboratory as well as the Lens Towers used to melt the martian ice to provide water for the planet. [1]

Upon meeting the Avatar in 1895, Peary, now residing in Olympus, told there hero about his discoveries, and the current state of disrepair of the lens towers, even offering the hero advice on repairing the defunct structures. It was also Mr. Peary who finally suggested the construction of steel cannonballs to destroy the metal gates barring the entrance to Argyre.[2]

Peary, an American explorer, is best known for his trek to the North Pole. He entered the U.S. Navy in 1881, first travelled into the interior of Greenland in 1886, and reached the North Pole in 1909. Shortly after being stranded on the red planet, Peary embarked on an expedition to its north polar region. His discoveries there marked a turning point in events on Mars.
