Rani reveals herself to be woman

This article is about a character from the manga Ultima: The Fall of Magincia. For the character from the Ultima game series, see Sentri.

Rani Sentri [ラーニー センタリ] is the commander of Britannia's special forces in Hiroyuki Watanabe's 1990 Ultima-inspired manga, Ultima: The Fall of Magincia.

Description[edit]

Rani was an exceptionally skilled combatant, managing in an early episode to best Susadora's entire crew near single-handedly. Athletic, attractive and magically talented, the female fighter maintained a disciplined and controlled demeanor for the majority of the comic, although she was prone to losing her temper in reaction to Susadora's jibes. Assigned by Lord British to assist the Golaian pirates in their campaign against Vitor, Rani would eventually grow close to Susadora and his crew, and would consider abandoning her career to join them on their remote island.

Eventually, however, Rani was slain in the onslaught against Vitor, whereupon it was revealed that she (along with Susadora's other friends) were reincarnated gods who had committed themselves to the preservation of humanity. Once freed from her earthly body, she spoke to Susadora tenderly, lending him her strength as he too realized his godhood in the midst of fighting Vitor.[1]
