Meribeth is the daughter of mayor Aidon of Britain.

When the Avatar first met her in Ultima IX, she immediately flirted with him.[1] While she had a cough, she and her father downplayed it as nothing but a scratchy throat.
While the Avatar was in Despise, she was taken to Paws due to the Mayor's policies. Not long after arriving, she was abducted by goblins. Her father sought her in Paws to take her back to Britain, but failed to get her before the abduction.[2] The Avatar found her in one of the outlying buildings in Paws and rescued her from the goblins.
After seeing the horrible conditions in Paws, she had decided to stay in Paws to help the unfortunate there. At their last encounter, she told the Avatar that her selfish life had left her unfulfilled. [3]
