Max is the housekeeper at the Inn of Ends in Jhelom during the events of Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
Max cleaned rooms for guests at Smirk's establishment. Should the Stranger speak with him, he would reveal that one of the rooms in the inn (the one occupied by Lord Robert) was a bit odd, and that people had a habit of disappearing from it mysteriously.[1]

NES remake
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (Japanese original), Max can be identified with the man in the same location. This character was removed in the English localization.
