Lewis is an adventurer in New Magincia in Ultima V: Lazarus.

Originally from Skara Brae, Lewis had devoted his life to following the Virtues and treading the path of the Avatar. Upon learning the Avatar’s identity, Lewis was fundamentally honored to be in the hero's presence, and told the Avatar he also wished to become an Avatar someday. Lewis told the hero that the path to Avatarhood still required an individual to obtain enlightenment in a Virtue and meditate at the appropriate Shrine, but one was also now required to go on a Sacred Quest, a pilgrimage to the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom to answer a question asked by the Shrine. Lewis proudly told the hero he had obtained enlightenment in Spirituality the year after his father died, when he was twelve, and had since then gained enlightenment in Honor after traveling with the paladins of Trinsic for nine years. He felt his father had been a good and strict man, who had been wrong in holding him back from the Quest of the Avatar. He had not seen his mother Narina in Skara Brae for many years, but was sure she would be proud of him on obtaining further enlightenment. After meditating at the Shrine of Humility, Lewis had next traveled to New Magincia with the hope of soon coming to terms with the Virtue of Humility.[1]

Lewis admitted to having no real interest in courting Kintara, feeling the girl too young and inexperienced for his tastes, but found having her hang off his arm while he regaled the townsfolks with his stories most appealing. If the Avatar chooses to tell Kintara Lewis' true feelings, the young girl would be heartbroken.[2]
