Kristi is the cook of Serpent's Hold during the events of Ultima V.

Description[edit]

When meeting her, Kristi at first only spoke to the Avatar of her job as a cook. However, after a while she talked about visitors to the castle and mentioned a strange man a few weeks ago who'd paid her for a meal with 5 skull keys, which can open magically locked doors. Kristi had no use for them, but gladly sold them to the Avatar for 100 gold coins.[1]

She had no more keys than that, but said that the man had mentioned that Shenstone in Minoc was his source.

Kristi readily told the Avatar about her role feeding the hungry Knights of Serpent's Hold in Ultima V: Lazarus. She admitted to having little time to experiment with her meals because she had to cook in bulk to feed the many hungry knights of the hold. Her specialty was shark fin soup, which she learned how to make growing up in Minoc, the city of Sacrifice. Kristi lamented that she used to return home routinely, but the blockade had prevented that from happening recently. Still, she felt Minoc had become a sad place as of late with the charity tax.[2]

The brave cook told the hero that all the remaining Knights of the Order of the Silver Serpent in Serpent's Hold wished for Lord British’s return, and would not abandon their cause. Some of the Knights who had left had hoped to directly counter Blackthorn’s tyranny from the mainland, while others had forsaken their cause to joint the Oppression. Kristi also mentioned she was sometimes lonely on the island, for her brother Angus died trying to break Blackthorn’s blockade, and feared her other brother Maxwell may perish on his journeys, although Gardner, the guardian of the Flame of Courage was a true friend.

Kristi would ask the Avatar to return with a book on non-magical healing arts from Moonglow or the Lycaeum because Serpent's Hold no longer had a healer to help with the wounded from Blackthorn's blockade.
