Jillian is a trainer and scholar of some renown who often can be found in the environs of the Lycaeum during Ultima VII.
Description[edit]
Jillian had little to say regarding the topics of her research, but was well spoken of by almost all who knew her. Her husband, Effrem, however, seem upset at her success, and felt emasculated that she should be the primary earner in the relationship while he stayed at home with their infant son, Mikhail – even though the couple had agreed to this arrangement before the child's birth.[1][2][3]
During the Avatar’s search for the lost continent of Ambrosia, Jillian would prove helpful in directing the hero toward the northeast seas where the ancient land had supposedly met its end, and Nelson recommended that the hero consult her on the matter.[4][5]

- Jillian appears to be one of the few humans well versed in the Gargish language, and is listed as the translator of the English edition of the The Book of Circles as well as For-Lem’s Thy Message Received!.[7]
- In Anton’s Key to the Black Gate, Jillian gives a summary of the various mages of the realm – expounding on their specialties and listing their prices for spells and reagents.[8][9]
