James is the provisioner of Yew in Ultima IX.

Description[edit]

When the Avatar met James in his shop, James asked the Avatar if the hero knew anything about the newest trial in Yew. It turned out that Raven was brought to court under false claims, although James was confused and thought she had slaughtered children in Britain. James also discussed the wave of lawsuits, citing one customer who was suing him because a torch he had bought had burned down his house. James was not immune either, as he counter-sued the customer for hurting his business with his frivolous lawsuit.[1]
