The spell Hear Truth, allows the theurgist to divine the truth when hearing lies.

Spell Description[edit]

One of the highest principles of theurgists is truth and they thus never tell lies to others. To that end, an ability they have is to see past lies with Hear Truth. Once cast, for a limited time, it reveals the truth behind any lie which the theurgist is told.

Lore[edit]

This invocation reveals the truth to any lie spoken knowingly to the Theurgist, as if the Air, itself, were unraveling the thread of the message.
A useful spell for any number of reasons. This spell allows the Theurgist to hear both what the speaker is saying and what the truth is. If the speaker is, indeed, speaking untruthfully, the truth will come to the caster as if carried on a breeze. The Focus for this spell resembles a chain. The words spoken upon casting are 'An Quas Lor.'

Trivia[edit]

  • There are exactly four people with whom the spell works: Orlok (all the time), Xavier (before Torwin dies), Aramina (only while Mordea is alive) and Cyrrus (plot).
  • The spell is plot-relevant, since otherwise the information about Torwin cannot be obtained from Cyrrus.
