I lifted and modified the policies from Guild Wars Wiki to make some admin and bureaucrat policies for us.

Go forth and edit it to your hearts contents. Don't be afraid to make edits without discussion at this point since it is all tentative. If a change is contentious then we can discuss it.

However no matter how the policy end up we'll have to decide on how many bureaucrats we want. Anyone have any thoughts? One seems sufficient for maintenance but not really for voting/consensus purposes. -- Fenyx4 11:32, 19 November 2010 (PST)

The policies seem ok, though I'm no expert and I would probably have to read them a few more times before adding any suggestions. What I would like, however, which has not much to do with this, is for us to have a namespace different from "Editable Codex".... I was just reminded of that because all of these policies pages have the wiki namespace on them.
About the bureaucrats, I'm not sure how many times we will be actually neededing voting/consensus, but 3 seems to be a good number, just in case.--Sega381 06:07, 20 November 2010 (PST)
Yeah, I totally hear you on the "Editable Codex" namespace. I just haven't had as much time lately and that looks like it could be a big timesink. I've been trying to find the time to get these policies up for days now and they didn't take all that much time. -- Fenyx4 13:19, 20 November 2010 (PST)
I'm gonna make these official in the next couple days and then open up voting for 3 bureaucrats positions. The length for these positions will be tiered. One for four months, one for 8 months and one for 12 months. The intent is when the positions come up for a new election to be for a full year but this way it will be staggered so we don't vote in an entirely new bureaucracy every year.
Wanted to let people know in case they wanted to make anymore comments on this. -- Fenyx4 23:33, 3 December 2010 (PST)
On a final re-read, I find these policies good enough. And I think it's good that we start using them.--Sega381 06:35, 4 December 2010 (PST)
Hey guys! As some may have noticed I haven't been around much. Rest assured I have been checking in... But that is about to change as I will be without internet for a couple weeks soon. I had hoped to do the election and admin request policies before then but I never got to it. So, as not to leave us without an admin, I'm going to give admin privs to User:Dungy, User:Sega381 and User:Polygoncount while I am away. I might be able to occasionally check my e-mail so feel free to reach me at editablecodex@gmail.com but I dunno what my response time will be. -- Fenyx4 08:28, 21 December 2010 (PST)
Ok, thanks! I don't think we'll need to bother you, so don't worry. I'm honored to be a temporary admin!--Sega381 08:52, 21 December 2010 (PST)
Wow, me too! I will do my best to serve the office well. --Polygoncount 11:57, 21 December 2010 (PST)
I'm back! I see no reason to remove people's temp admin status until we get around to doing those election thingies. -- Fenyx4 19:07, 13 January 2011 (PST)
Welcome back! Missed you. Now get to work! *cracks whip* Dungy 00:49, 15 January 2011 (PST)
