The flux analyzer is a machine appearing in Ultima VII Part Two.

The flux analyzer is a machine that can fix severed magical pathways in enchanted objects, re-aligning them to again work as intended. This ability to repair broken magical items makes the flux analyzer extremely useful, since only one is known to actually exist on the Serpent Isle.
The mage Gustacio of Moonshade owned the flux analyzer, until it was stolen from him by Vasculio as related to the Avatar years later. The Avatar in fact needed it to fix the black sword, so that it would be useful again and trap the Banes of Chaos inside the Ether Gem. The Avatar finally found the machine in Skullcrusher, Vasculio's hideout, and used it to repair the black sword. Afterwards, the flux analyzer lost its usefulness. Its fate is unknown.
