This article is about an NPC in Ultima Underworld II. For an NPC in Ultima IX, see Felix (U9).

Felix is a former nobleman who has been reduced to slavery by the Tarnan goblins. He appears in Ultima Underworld II.

Description[edit]

Felix was once the prince of the northern kingdom of Fyrna, which was one of many human-led states to oppose the united goblins of Tarna. During the war, he and his retainer Marcus were captured by the sadistic goblin fighter Freemis, and were both enslaved within the Prison Tower.

Should the Avatar speak with Felix, the still proud aristocrat would plead with the hero to assist him in slaying Freemis, and would ofter up his family treasure -a magical cornucopia forever filled with food- upon success. This act could be accomplished either by the Avatar facing the goblin in lone combat or by loosing an enraged troll known as Garg upon the inhabitants of the tower. However it occurred, once the goblins in the tower were dead, Felix and Marcus would endeavor to flee back to Fyrna and whatever remained of her people, thanking the Avatar as they departed.[1]

Lore[edit]

The kitchen-servants are human - a northern aristocrat, Felix, and his maimed second in command, Marcus. Neither is in any shape to aid the intruder, although Felix carries a magic item of some sort. Both servants are nursing a grudge against Freemis, who was involved in their capture.
