Ellison is the mayor of Trinsic in Ultima V: Lazarus.

Ellison was proud of his station in Lord Blackthorn's Oppression, and sought to serve his master faithfully. After the fall of Trinsic, Ellison was appointed mayor of the city, and had forbidden all paladins within the city from leaving, fearing they would break their oath to not bare arms against Blackthorn's regime. The mayor felt that Lord British must have perished in the Underworld, commenting that the mark of a great leader is who they leave to serve after them, and by that definition Lord British must have been wise indeed. The mayor was proud of his role in overthrowing Sir Simon's rule of Trinsic, and he felt it was best to quickly eliminate all Resistance in Britannia, so that more people would not die in prolonged violence. Ellison even believed Sir Simon must have surely perished during the siege of Trinsic, for he believed the old mayor was hardly a coward, and would never have left the city while he still had breath.[1]

After the Avatar exposed the false rumors Paul had spread about Tallon and Brethil, the mayor thanked the Avatar for averting the Trial of Honor, saying they did little to help Trinsic's good name. Ellison hoped Paul would never return, and if he did, he would allow Tallon to exact justice upon the man.

Ellison was willing to teach the Avatar in Archery, Parrying, and Death Blow

Trivia[edit]

  • Ellison's portrait in Lazarus is modelled on Ultima Legacy founder Darkheart Dragon, and was originally planned to be used for Vortigyrn.
