Diane is a woman living at Empath Abbey during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
A tall woman, Diane served as a counselor for those seeking to learn of the mysteries of Love within the Abbey's sacred Oak Grove. She would ask of the Stranger's loving qualities, admonishing the hero should the answer seem exaggerated.[1]

NES remake
- A humble answer to Diane's question will raise Humility by 5 points, a proud answer will lower it by 5.
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (where most character names were omitted and dialogue was significantly modified), Diane can be identified as the woman in the same location. She lists Compassion, Justice, Sacrifice and Spirituality as the virtues derived from Love, cautioning the Stranger to use only the stones which correspond to those at the Altar of Love.[2]
