Damon is a meek shepherd living in Minoc during Ultima IV.
Description[edit]
The Stranger could find Damon hiding in the woods outside Iron Works, where he stood in thought and contemplation. After learning from the tinker, Merida, that a shepherd matching his description had knowledge of the mantra of Sacrifice the Stranger could inquire regarding it, leading Damon to direct the hero to listen carefully to the bard's songs to learn the meditative word.[1]

NES remake
- If questioned about his thinking, Damon will ask if a man cannot think to himself. Should the Stranger answer that he cannot, the shepherd will grow cross with the hero, using the term "bandersnatch."
- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV (Japanese original), Damon can be identified as a woman in the same location. This character was removed in the English localization.
