Coop is the merchant tending to Iolo's Bows in Britain during Ultima VII.

Description

Coop was an ambitious and friendly young man who had apparently been apprenticed to Iolo for some time, succeeding Gwenneth as his pupil. Determined to follow in the bard's footsteps by becoming a master fletcher, bowyer and archer, the youth tended diligently to the shop whilst Iolo was engaged in other pursuits. While the youth had a streak of wanderlust to him and desired to see the world, he would ultimately decline any invitations to join the Avatar's party, citing his responsibilities as a bowyer. If present while talking to his apprentice, Iolo would affirm that Coop was a very talented young man.

When not working, Coop entertained himself by singing in a local band. He, Neno, and Judith comprised a group known as 'The Avatars', which played nightly at the Blue Boar Tavern. Coop, the lyricist of the troupe, would compose a unique song to herald the actual Avatar's arrival should the hero come to watch them play.

• In the SNES-port of Ultima VII, Coop appears as a generic provisioner, although his inventory does include a number of bows.
• If Iolo is present in the party, he will enter a dialogue with Coop.
