The warriors and other professionals in the fighting art might be brave, but courage is not to be confused with stupidity. Even the bravest warrior knows that good armour is essential to actually surviving a fight, and only a fool would shun it. Thus these pages of the Codex have armour and associated items like helmets and shields, as the topic.
