Bob the Beggar is a sickly little man who, during the time of Ultima IV, resides in the Poor House.
Description[edit]
Should the Stranger speak to the ailing Bob, the supplicant would beg for money that he might have his terminal leg rot treated. Should the Stranger have (or claim to have) no funds to bestow upon the poor beggar, Bob would kindly invite the hero to beg at his side.[1]
Precisely what Bob's leg rot comprised of or how it might be treated, given its terminal status, has never been fully explained.

- In the Nintendo remake of Ultima IV, Bob resides in Britain and appears to be just pretending to be sick, claiming in the same breath to have the bubonic plague, leprosy or terminal leg rot.[2]
