Bliy Skup Ductosnore, from Ultima Underworld II
Bliy Skup Ductosnores on Talorus were charged with the task of programming the data-patterns of new Talorids and then creating them in the world's skup chambers. At the time of the Avatar's arrival on this world, the active Ductosnore was under the sway of the Guardian, and had been instructed to skup Talorids which were asexual and highly streamlined for very exacting singular functions.
The decreased complexity of Talorid design left the Ductosnore with a great deal of unemployed mental capacity, which it used over the centuries to develop a somewhat more individual personality than its fellows. Aside from being extraordinarily proud of its duties, the Talorid worked toward crafting for itself a sense of humor, and would point out that it intentionally didn't replace a letter which had fallen from its sign, finding it amusing.
The Avatar, after receiving instructions from the Futurian and the Data Integrator, was tasked with killing the corrupted Bliy Skup Ductosnore that they might skup a new one with data-patterns more conducive to an independent Talorid society. Should they choose to murder and replace the Guardian's Ductosnore, the newly created Talorid would express shock at the alterations which had been made to the skupping process, and would work to modify its people such that they would eventually return to their former state
- Bliy Skup Ductosnore is an anagram of Blue Sky Productions, the company which developed Ultima Underworld II.
- It is feasible to complete Ultima Underworld II without killing the original Bliy Skup Ductosnore. The player may cast Flameproof or use potions or items conferring invulnerability to flame in order to get the blackrock gem from the lava pit in Talorus.
- In its interview with Bishop in Gems of Enlightenment, Historian indicates that prior to the development of Ductosnores, Talorids reproduced sexually in a manner similar to other organisms.
