Blacktooth is a retired pirate living in Buccaneer's Den during Ultima VII.
Description[edit]
Should the Avatar speak to Blacktooth and identify as the Avatar, the aging pirate would grow angry and distrustful, having recently been cheated in a card game by one claiming to be the Avatar. If the hero nevertheless attempted to engage Blacktooth, however, it would be apparent that he was deeply despondent over the loss of his best friend, Mole, who had recently joined the Fellowship and thereafter become distant from his former shipmate. This turn of events had left Blacktooth very emotionally fragile, and he would be quite vocal in making his misery known, going so far as to make empty threats of suicide should the hero appear to be abandoning him in the midst of an outburst.[1]
If the Avatar sought out Mole, the hero could soon ascertain that he deeply missed Blacktooth as well, and had come to the mistaken conclusion that his former comrade hated him on account of his Fellowship membership. If told of Blacktooth's true feelings, Mole would be eager to reconcile and the two pirates would soon be reunited as friends.[2][3]

- If Spark is present in the party during Blacktooth's histrionics, he will whisper, "Oh, come on, be a man!" Dupre will also attempt to suppress a smirk should the overwrought pirate approach the point of tears.[1]
