Lady Anniel is a knight of the Order of the Silver Serpent in Trinsic in Ultima V: Lazarus.

After being grievously wounded by a Shadowlord during its invasion of Trinsic, Anniel had been nursed back to health by Leila at the Wounds of Honor. Suffering a devastating blow more mental than physical, Anniel had difficulty recovering the zeal she previously had as a knight of the realm, and instead chose to work at the Wounds of Honor doing small jobs for Anniel to help pay for her room and board. She told the hero that Mayor Ellison had given her leave to depart Trinsic at any time, and she had the financial means to return home to New Magincia, but wished instead to remain and heal, not wishing to return home after her defeat by a Shadowlord. She felt that Mayor Ellison was a fair leader, and the local hatred towards Blackthorn's appointee stemmed mainly from the circumstances as to which he came to power.[1]

Asked about the other patients, she remarked that Sindar seemed to be overcome by a never ending magical sleep. Even though Anniel remarked she often dreamed of such a relief from her suffering, she was unwilling to cause any harm to herself. Instead, she noted that she often dreamed of the Great Council member waking and walking away, a dream which she found disturbing. Of Jimmy's affliction she knew little, other than there seemed to be no cure.

After speaking with Ellison about Anniel, Anniel would only reveal her reason for being in Trinsic if a friend from New Magincia were present. If Katrina was in the party, Anniel would reveal that she was tasked by Chuckles to transport Lord British's Sceptre to Serpent's Hold to be guarded by Lord Malone. While in Trinsic seeking transport to the island, she was attacked by a Shadowlord and compelled to give the magical artifact to them. She was rescued by Greyson, and if the Avatar had met the fighter in jail in Yew, Anniel would be overjoyed the man still lived, asking the hero to carry her thanks to the man in prison.
