Anmanivas is a wingless gargoyle who formerly worked as a miner in Vesper in Ultima VII.
Decription[edit]
Anmanivas had left his job in the Vesper mine due to his deep-seated hatred for the human race, and the other gargoyles of Vesper had apparently forbidden him from going to the eastern bank of the town's oasis, fearing that his anger would spill over into violence. Giving over to drink in his bitterness, the resentful gargoyle spent most of his time at the local tavern with his brother Foranamo, stewing over his misfortunes.[1][2]
Should the Avatar approach Anmanivas in such a state, the voice of the Guardian would prompt "Go inside. Tell them you are the Avatar!" Should the hero do so, Anmanivas would fly into a rage, attempting to kill the "False Prophet" whom he thought to have brought so much pain to his people.[3]
Trivia[edit]
- Anmanivas translates to "great pain" in Gargish.
