Lady Aila

Aila is a character from Yoko Tanaka's 1989 Ultima-inspired manga, Ultima: The Quest of the Avatar.

Description[edit]

Lady Aila was the daughter of Sentri and, like her father, was a paladin of some renown. She appeared to have caught the romantic affections of the young Lord British, and caused him great upset when she revealed herself to be pregnant of seemingly divine means. Refusing to believe her, British dismissed her from her service. she fled into the Deep Forest thereafter and was eventually slain by monsters some time after giving birth to her son, Deane.

Talfourd and his young son, Shiva, found her body and buried it under the Yewen "Mother Tree." The aged judge then proceded to raise her orphaned infant as his own.[1]
