In the heart of the Deep Forest lies an abandoned fortress.
Description[edit]
It is unknown who originally built the fortress, or why it was originally relinquished. All that is known for certain is that it was built in the period following the gargoyle war. At the time of Ultima VII, the Avatar found the fortress, still empty and mostly forgotten. The hero came across a Xorinite wisp here, studying old books. Using the wisp whistle to attract the attention of the being, the Avatar was finally able to communicate with the information brokers.

- The exact coordinates are 46°N 12°W.
- One book in the fortress is The Book of Forgotten Mantras, the same book the Avatar gave the wisp in Ultima VI.
