Conversation[edit]

Master Barren: "One more thing, Stranger. If you want to continue your Virtue training, speak to Father Adrian in the Temple of Britain. he is a scholar of the First Avatar and can teach you much."

You: "Who is the First Avatar?" (Story)

Master Barren: "He was a great hero from Earth. He came here many years ago and set things right. You remind me of him... and that brings me hope."

You: "You Honour me."

You: "I'll speak to Father Adrian." (Accept Quest)

...

Father Adrian: "If you want to save Britannia and master the Virtues, you'll need to learn much more about the First Avatar."

You: "How do you know why I'm here?" (Story)

Father Adrian: "I know Lady British has brought you Strangers here to retrace the steps of the First Avatar. I've spoken to several of you Earth-folk."

You: "Why do you call us Strangers?" (Story)

Father Adrian: "It's a tradition from the time of Lady British's father. Plus, you lot do look odd. Your teeth are... strangely white."

You: "What did you learn?" (Story)

Father Adrian: "I think Earth will benefit from your visit, in the long run. Perhaps you lot will take what you have learnt here home with you."

You: "What of the First Avatar then?" (Advance Quest)

Father Adrian: "The First Avatar knew all of the Virtue Mantras. You also need to know these words of power. They will help you learn Virtue faster. I warn you though, it will not be easy."

(You have three choices:)

  • "I'm not scared of hard work." (+Valour)
  • "I can only do my best." (+Humility)
  • "Faster is better." (+Honesty)

Father Adrian: "The Guilds guard the Mantras. Visit the guildhouses here in Britain and speak to their scribes. Start with the Druids, Paladins and Mages. They're the most likely to help you."

...

You: "I learnt those Mantras you told me about." (Advance Quest)

Father Adrian: "Excellent! I have called in a few favours whilst you have been away. Cricket of the Bards Guild and Merida of the Tinkers Guild are willing to teach you their Mantras... but..."

You: There's always a catch."

Father Adrian: "Well, they have some conditions before they'll teach you the Mantras. You may need to get a bit more experience before they'll teach you."

You: "I'll go find them."

...

Father Adrian: "You're back again! I trust you've made some progress with the Mantras then?"

You: "I know the Mantra of Humility."

Father Adrian: "That is excellent news. No wonder the Guilds are making bets about how long it will take you to become an Avatar."

You: "And that's a good thing?" (Advance Quest)

Father Adrian: "Well, I hope this proves you are ready for the most difficult lesson. Find Abramo in the Rangers Guild. He'll tell you about the Mantra of Spirituality. I'll be waiting for you here when you're done."

You: "Farewell."

Trivia[edit]

  • To skip the story of the First Avatar, you can use the following dialog with Father Adrian:
